Program description:
From conquering the toughest open-water swims to becoming the first Polish woman to achieve the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming, Aleksandra is a true force of nature! As a world record holder in winter swimming and a passionate mentor, she shares her extraordinary journey, passion for swimming, and how determination can turn challenges into triumphs!
About the mentor:
Aleksandra has written countless posts, stories, a few poems, and reports - yet she still finds it hard to know exactly how to introduce herself. She’s a daughter, granddaughter, sister, student, judge, teammate, and friend. An athlete known as a Swimmer, but also, deep down, a bit of an artist and musician - because she's always felt a small quark of those worlds lives within her. Not much of a cook, although from time to time she manages something more than just boiling water for tea. She's kind and approachable, though not immune to frustration. She's open-minded and loves meaningful conversations. But if she had to choose one description, she’d simply say: an ordinary person with an extraordinary passion - and that passion is the heart of this page. Aleksandra writes personalized swim training plans, organizes open water crossings across the Gulf of Gdańsk, winter swimming competitions, and swim camps. She is the first Polish woman to achieve the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming, having swum the Catalina Channel, circled Manhattan Island, and crossed the English Channel. She also holds the world record in the 200m breaststroke in winter swimming.
